Shutterstile Offers New Caribbean Beach Shutters

New premium window shutters with a Caribbean flair feature art tile by A Mission Statement Studio.

July 16, 2009, Montross, VA ‒ Shutterstile LLC has added a new tropical design to their line of innovative window shutters. The new design features two columns of louvers divided by a center mullion in combination with interchangeable panels of handcrafted tile in a tropical motif. The result is bright and airy, reminiscent of Bermuda colonial architecture. [See http://www.shutterstile.com/caribbean.htm.]

"Add our Caribbean Beach shutters to your home and every day will feel like a day at the beach. They are the perfect finishing touch for a waterfront cottage or to make your landlocked home feel like a tropical paradise," according to Elizabeth Donley, founder and co-owner of Shutterstile.

The 1-5/16" thick frame is made of durable Spanish cedar, suitable for fixed or hinge mounting. They may also be hinged at the top like traditional Bahama shutters. The shutter in the accompanying photo features a relief tile in a tropical beach design created especially for Shutterstile by A Mission Statement Studio. Like most tiles available on Shutterstile shutters, these tiles are frost-resistant.

The Caribbean Beach design is available unfinished or in virtually any solid color or stain. The company uses only environmentally friendly, low-VOC, water-based finishes.

Shutterstile shutters combine the flexibility of interchangeable panels with the unlimited colors and patterns found in decorative tiles and other unique accents. Changing the style of your home is as easy as popping out the panels and replacing them with a different color or design.
